Thank You Rosa Parks

Who was this lady and why didn't she just get up? I often wonder about what she was going through and just how fed up she was. She was my age- 42, on that day 50 years ago. She had already lived a life and witnessed injustices that had simply become a way of life for her. But on that day, she just sat there. What a day that must have been. We all get them. It's when we say enough is enough. She made her statement with steadfast quiet dignity until the day she died last Monday at 92. The first woman to lie in state at the Capitol- a black woman we can ALL identify with, Thank You Rosa Parks.
